THE NATIONAL VOCATIONAL TRAINING INSTITUTE (NVTI) GHANA
NVTI is a public organisation set up in 1970 that has produced over 200,000
graduates from its own institutes and certified more than 2 million graduates
in a country with a population of 22 million. The Institute is an agency under
the Ministry of Manpower and Social Welfare.
Its mandate includes:
Running 37 training centres and offering skills in 28 Trade Areas in all 10
regions of Ghana
Organising apprenticeship, in-plant training, training programmes for
industrial & clerical workers and training instructors required for the purpose.
Developing training standards and evolving effective trade testing,
certification policies & programmes
Establishing and maintaining technical & cultural relations with international
organizations & other foreign institutions engaged in activities connected
with vocational training
NVTI sets standards & conducts skills/trade tests and awards certificates in
about 80 trade areas throughout Ghana
Learning resources in partnership with NVTI Ghana has trained over 400
Nigerian youths in pipeline welding, electrical installation & maintenance,
automobile mechanic and Plumbing & pipefitting under the sponsorship of
the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL FOR SMALL BUSINESS
Founded in 1955, the International Council for Small Business (ICSB) was the
first international membership organization to promote the growth and
development of small businesses worldwide. The organization brings together
educators, researchers, policy makers and practitioners from around the
world to share knowledge and expertise in their respective fields.
Our Principal Consultant apart from being a member of the International
Council for Small Business [ICSB] is a Founding Member of the International
Council for Small Business, Nigeria.
Learning Resources draws from the in-depth resource base of the ICSB in
working with organisation and institutions for the achievement of their service

EIM MARITIME TRAINING CENTRE
EIM is the first international maritime training institute accredited and
approved by NIMASA to train Nigerian maritime students under the
Presidential Amnesty Training Programme. The institute’s vision is to
continuously update the standard of competence of the marine officers at
sea and to provide learning through application by providing simulator
training programs that will benefit professionals from the marine industries.
Key training objectives of the institute:
To apply an effective and efficient assessment system to measure the
trainee’s knowledge & understanding to the performance of relevant tasks
and to meet the requirement by the STCW95 specific Quality and
performance Standards.
Establishing, equipping and management of maritime training centers and
colleges.
These objectives are supported by:
State-of-the-art simulators suitable for the selected objectives & training tasks
facilities and literature
Practical “hands-on” experimental exercises to allow the effective
assessment of the performance of the trainee
Necessary classroom lectures and discussions with instructors who have a
wide range of experience and expertise in maritime shipping education and
knowledge of changing technologies
A deep pool of maritime resource experts.
THE INSTITUT VILLA PIERREFEU, GLION-MONTREUX, SWITZERLAND [IVP]
With about 50 years of experience, Institut Villa Pierrefeu, which is a premium
finishing school in Switzerland, prepares participants for their role in society,
government and business, aiming to help them become more effective in
their home countries and abroad
The IVP programme of training is specially designed for women with state or
social protocol responsibilities, by virtue of positions occupied by themselves
or their husbands in government, mainstream politics, or business
The IVP programme provides Very Important Personality (VIP) women with a
valuable introduction to international official, diplomatic and social protocol
rules for women
Learning Resources Nigeria Limited in partnership with the institute has
enhanced the global state craft skills of Nigerian VIP women. As of today
over nine currently active First Ladies of various states in Nigeria have
